To make our branding work more accessible to early bird start-ups, XS businesses, and tiny nonprofits, we are launching an experiment in pay-what-you-can pricing for one week only.

To be considered, complete the short application below by 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time on May 15, 2024. All you have to do is share your contact info, tell us about your project in a few sentences, and tell us how much you can pay. We’ll review your application and let you know if you’ve been approved.

If your ethically-minded start-up, small business, or non-profit needs help with branding (naming, logos, etc.), but doesn’t have the $$$ to pay retail for pros, this is for you. Please note that applications are still subject to approval by Harmless Studio.

If your application is accepted, we'll have a meeting and give you a detailed contract outlining the project. In most cases, the deliverables will be a name, logo, brand guide, recommended fonts, color palette, and any other brand assets that are needed like illustrations or secondary logos.

The Brandathon is only available to ethically-minded organizations that meet our normal client standards: 1. they do not sell animal products (meat, leather, etc.) or animals (shelters are totally fine), 2. they do not engage in animal testing or use of animals for entertainment, and 3. they do not otherwise benefit from the sale of animal products, sale of animals, use of animal testing, or use of animals for entertainment.

Our branding projects typically range from $10K to $30K, depending on scope, scale, and complexity, but for the Brandathon, all Pay-What-You-Can offer amounts will be considered. Be fair and offer what you can afford (hence the “Pay-What-You-Can” part). Priority will be given to the projects we find most interesting.

Applications will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis. If your project is accepted, or if we have additional questions, we will contact you at the email address provided in your application. No need to contact us, but feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Typically, these projects take about a month, but your project timeline may vary based on your specific situation and needs.

If your application is accepted, we'll prepare a contract immediately. The contract must be executed and the first half of payment must be made within one week of acceptance.
